For six consecutive years in a row, the employees of Mercedes-Benz Toronto retail group are overjoyed and excited to bring joy to children across the Greater Toronto Area. For doing this, they have joined forces with the volunteer-led Toronto Firefighters Toy Drive. Mercedes-Benz Toronto retail group is once again going to proudly donate the use of a Sprinter Cargo van for the purpose.
Retail locations based in Toronto will host toy drives between November 15th and December 7th this year. In this toy drive, the Toronto firefighters along with the employees of Mercedes Benz Toronto collect unwrapped toys and donate across the GTA.
The toy drive is a wonderful opportunity to engage with the public and also support a charitable organisation that has been making a difference in the lives of thousands of children and their families over the period of time.
The drive is a non-profit registered charity that donates approximately $ 1 million in toys every year. During the event, number of people attend and donate lots of unwrapped toys which are then filled into the sprinter vans and donated across the country.
Earlier in 2015, the Mercedes-Benz Toronto retail donated a sprinter cargo Van to the Toronto firefighters toy drive which was later purchased by the charity. Again this year the group is providing another sprinter cargo van absolutely free for the holiday season.
The drive will be also supported by Santa Claus who will make special appearances by participating in the drive across the GTA. The Mercedes Benz Toronto retail group has always embraced community efforts. Even last year the event was a popular one with around 1500 holiday portraits taken. These portraits were available in both magnetic print as well as digital print. It is anticipated that even this year there is going to be a personalized photo souvenir for everyone who visits Santa. Visiting the Santa is going to be free and open for everybody.
